Re-exploring Vibrant Downtown Shawano

July 13th, day 39 of my ongoing adventure, and today is all about Shawano. This charming small town, where I grew up, holds a special place in my heart. The vibrant downtown area is where I spent most of my day, reminiscing about the good old times and noticing how much has changed, yet how much still feels the same.

Memorable Meals with Long-time Friends

One of the highlights of my day was having lunch and dinner with long-time friends of the family. There's something incredibly comforting about catching up with people who have known you for years. We shared stories, laughed about old memories, and talked about how our lives have evolved. It was a perfect way to reconnect and feel at home.

Evening Drinks at Local Spots

Shawano may be a small town, but it boasts some pretty cool spots for a night out. I visited a local wine bar and a brewery, both of which added a nice touch of sophistication to the evening. Later, I met up with some friends from high school for drinks. It was a nostalgic experience, bringing back fond memories of our younger days.

Contemplating a Move Back

As I walked through the familiar streets and spent time with cherished friends, I couldn't help but think about the possibility of moving back. Shawano is a great place to grow up in, with its close-knit community and friendly atmosphere. Who knows? Maybe one day, I'll find myself calling this lovely town home again.
