Journey Along Lake Superior: From Naubinway to Three Lakes

Today's adventure commenced in Naubinway, MI, a quaint town situated on the northern shores of Lake Michigan. Opting for a northerly route along Lake Superior, I was immediately greeted by breathtaking vistas that set the tone for the day's journey. The scenic drive offered not just incredible views but also a chance to delve into the rich tapestry of towns that dot the coastline.

My first notable stop was Munising, MI. Nestled on the southern shore of Lake Superior, Munising is renowned for its stunning waterfalls and the iconic Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. The landscape here is a harmonious blend of rugged cliffs, serene beaches, and lush forests. Pictured Rocks, with its multicolored sandstone cliffs, was particularly mesmerizing, offering a vivid palette that seemed to change with the light. Continuing westward, I arrived in Marquette, MI. This vibrant college town serves as a cultural and economic hub of Michigan's Upper Peninsula. Finally, I arrived in Rhinelander, WI, a town known for its unique cultural heritage and mythical creature, the Hodag. Reunion and Evening in Rhinelander

My cousin was vacationing in this charming Wisconsin town. It was an unexpected yet pleasant surprise to find family in the midst of my travels.
